Pompe disease expert days

In December 2006 the first 'Pompe disease expert day' was held at Erasmus MC. Since then this symposium was organized twice per year. The meetings are intended for European physicians involved in the care and treatment of patients with Pompe disease. The aim is to create a better understanding of Pompe disease in all its clinical and molecular aspects, with a focus on the clinical practice of treatment and follow-up of patients with Pompe disease. The number of participants is limited to 20-25 to preserve the interactive nature of the meetings, with many possibilities for discussion and exchange of knowledge and experiences. The 'Pompe disease expert days' are sponsored by Genzyme.
